I was once a chat show host
they loved me for my quips and timely jokes
they bought me a car and a house
they brought me a pet and a spouse
but then I had a guest
a child who could read minds
and he said he could read mine
and every time I tried to speak
the child stole my words from me
so people laughed at him instead
and then they said my career was dead
so I got a job in human resources
